Just like with the PS2, the PS3 features a remote that can be used with the Blu-Ray disc feature of the PS3 for watching movies on the incredible new Blu-Ray disc format. Though not entirely necessary, as you can control the playback options of the disk with the SIXAXISTM controller, its all a matter of convenience & style. Especially if you want to watch a movie without trying to figure out the control scheme of a SIXAXIS.
