Known as the "UK Fight Club". Paul suffers from writer's block and a growing languidness, until he meets two people: Billy, a charismatic, dangerous risk-taker who exposes Paul to life's darker side; and Juliette with whom he falls in love. When the fire in their relationship begins to wane after a few months, Paul is torn between a life with Juliette or following Billy's quest for an endless high.
