When detectives Laurel and Hardy head to Mexico City to catch a pretty thief, they manage to lose the girl - and end up in the bullfighting ring! The boys are hot on the trail of Larceny Nell when it is discovered that Stan bears a striking resemblance to Spanish matador Don Sebastian. Soon, the senoritas are fawning, and an agent wants to hire Stan to impersonate the bullfighter, who is late arriving in town. Only problem is, when Sebastian still hasn't shown by the day of the big fight, a terrified Stan must don the gilded jacket in his stead.
