When a hurricane hits a US army base on the edge of the Panama Canal, an elite covert operations team on a routine jungle training exercise is decimated. Two recruits are rescued but both have different accounts regarding the fate of Sergeant Nathan West (Samuel L. Jackson) and their platoon. Tom Hardy (John Travolta) an ex-army ranger turned DEA agent is brought in to solve the mystery and uncover what the team was really doing in the jungle and what really happened out there. Deception proves to be a dangerous weapon and the truth has shocking consequences.
